Computer Science – Teaching Position
Archbishop Molloy High School is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a full time Computer Science teaching position beginning in the 2019-20 school year. Our Computer Science Department has been recognized by the College Board with the Computer Science Female Diversity Award and has forged a partnership with Amazon. We offer a wide variety of courses such as AP Computer Science A, AP Computer Science Principles, Advanced Computer Graphics, Robotics, and Introduction to Computer Science.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for Computer Science, be creative, and be a life-long learner. It is preferred that the candidate have at least 18 credits in Computer Science from an accredited university, teaching experience, familiarity with at least one programing language (Java, Python, C++, C), and experience with both coding and networking. There is an opportunity for the right candidate to help us continue to grow the department as we look to expand course offerings and establish a competitive Robotics team.
Math Teacher – Leave Replacement (2)
Archbishop Molloy High School is seeking highly qualified candidates for two Math teaching positions for the 2019-20 school year. These positions are maternity leave replacements beginning in September 2019 and finishing in January 2020. There is the possibility that they could become full year replacement positions. The positions’ responsibilities include teaching NYS Regents courses in Algebra I and Geometry. The ideal candidates will have an earned Master’s degree, a valid NYS Teaching Certificate in Mathematics 7-12, and high school teaching experience.
