After finishing their regular season 20-4, our Varsity Softball team captured the Brooklyn/Queens Championship on May 20th after defeating Xaverian 8-3! Mary Lou Piazza '24 was the winning pitcher, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs over 7 innings, while striking out 4. Ana Hershkovitz '24 provided a 3 run homer, with Jovanna Donaruma '24 and Marcella Polvere '25 also driving in runs. In addition to this championship, the team enjoyed a recent trip to Boston, where they defeated the former Massachusetts State Champions, Central Catholic High School, by a score of 9-3.
