Congratulations to the Varsity Softball Team for becoming the Brooklyn/Queens Champions! The team beat Xaverian by a score of 3-2, and Ava Hershkovitz '24 had a walk-off hit to end the game in the 8th inning. Sofia De La Rosa '23 went all 8 innings with 3 strikeouts allowing, 6 hits. The defense had an amazing game with incredible catches by Jordyn Ferrandino '23 and Marylou Piazza '24 in the outfield. Ava led the offense by going 3-4 at the plate, and Jordyn, Makayla Stevenson '24 and Jovanna Donaruma '24 each had a hit to help the team. The team will be playing in the City Championship next Tuesday! Thank you to our incredible alumni softball players who came back to root on the team. Go Stanners!
