Stanner Musicians & Vocalists Perform at Spring Concerts

During the week of April 27th, Molloy proudly hosted its annual Spring Concerts, celebrating the dedication and talent of its student musicians! On Tuesday, the Concert Band and Freshman Chorus, as well as Dr-Limitz Drum Club, took to the stage, performing for an audience of family, friends, faculty, and staff. Their performance showcased months of hard work and rehearsal, bringing a lively and dynamic energy to the evening.

Under the direction of Mr. Dan Jones, one of Molloy’s chorus directors and the conductor of the Concert Band, the concert was both engaging and interactive. Mr. Jones encouraged audience participation, inviting guests to clap along and even sing, creating a spirited and memorable atmosphere. The program featured a diverse selection of music, with musicians and vocalists performing beloved classics that ranged from alternative rock hits to timeless Broadway favorites, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy!

On Wednesday, Molloy’s Junior/Senior Chorus grabbed the spotlight as they performed a wide variety of Broadway hits! Along with Mr. Ken Farnum’s MultiQuire, performers brought the stage to life with powerful vocals and expressive storytelling. Featuring well-known selections from musicals such as “Hamilton,” “Wicked,” and “West Side Story,” the program highlighted both the technical skill and emotional depth of the singers.

Performing in front of an audience of proud family members and friends, the chorus delivered a heartfelt and engaging show that captured the spirit of musical theater. Mr. Jim Sheehan ‘75, director of the Junior/Senior Chorus, proudly celebrated the singers’ vocals and ability to connect with the audience of friends, family, faculty, and staff.

The evening served as a fitting celebration of their hard work throughout the year and a memorable conclusion to Molloy’s Spring Concert series! Go Stanners!
