Dr. Penikas Honored at St. John's Awards Dinner

Congratulations to Dr. Darius Penikas, who was honored at St. John’s University Leaders in Education (LEAD) Awards Dinner! Serving as Molloy’s principal since 2015, Dr. Penikas earned his bachelor’s degree and M.A.T. in Social Studies from Binghamton University, as well as his M.S. in Educational Administration, School Building Leadership Certification, Advanced Certificate in School Building Leadership, and Ed.D. from St. John’s University.

Dr. Penikas has played a key role in shaping Molloy into the technologically advanced institution it is today. He has overseen the development of new departments and courses, along with the growth of clubs and programs that support a well-rounded student experience. His leadership has enhanced both the school’s academic rigor and its commitment to innovation.

The awards dinner, which took place on April 16th, was “a truly memorable and meaningful experience,” according to Dr. Penikas. He elaborates, “Receiving the St. John’s University LEAD Award is a great honor and a testament to the wonderful team I have the pleasure of working with at Molloy. I was touched to be among such distinguished educational leaders recognized through this award.” In attendance to support Dr. Penikas were President Richard Karsten ‘81, as well as other members of faculty, staff, and administration. Congratulations, Dr. Penikas, and go Stanners!
