22 Stanners Inducted into Rho Kappa Honor Society

On April 30th, 22 juniors and seniors were inducted into Molloy’s chapter of the Ray Egan Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society! The ceremony, led by chapter president Rinat Moshel ‘26 and secretary Dana Seo ‘26, welcomed these stellar Stanners into the prestigious society named after the late Mr. Raymond Egan, who taught Social Studies at Molloy from the early 1960s into the 2000s.

Rinat began the ceremony by informing inductees on the meaning of the term “Rho Kappa,” which symbolizes the belief that “knowledge without service is useless.” Dana conducted the candle lighting ceremony while Rinat explained the significance of each one: white for truth, green for knowledge, gold for wisdom, and blue for service. Each of the 22 juniors and seniors then recited the Rho Kappa pledge, received a certificate and a pin, and officially became Rho Kappa scholars!

A big thank you to Ms. Jennifer Lamb, moderator of the honor society, for guiding our students in truth, knowledge, wisdom, and service, and congratulations to the new Rho Kappa inductees! Go Stanners!
