Molloy Presents Annual Winter Concerts
Molloy Presents Annual Winter Concerts
In December, Molloy presented its annual Winter Concerts, featuring many talented Stanner singers and instrumentalists! On Tuesday, December 17th, Molloy's Junior/Senior Chorus and Mr. Ken Farnum's MultiQuire (featuring representatives from St. Catherine's Academy, Fordham Prep, Fordham University, and Molloy) performed a full set of traditional Christmas songs and carols for a packed Ralph DeChiaro Theater. The chorus was directed by Mr. Jim Sheehan '75. The concert featured songs such as “Jingle Bell Rock” (Bobby Helms), “Let It Snow” (Jule Styne), “White Christmas” (Irving Berlin), “O Holy Night” (Placide Capau), and more!
On Thursday, December 19th, Molloy's concert band performed classic and contemporary hits in front of a full crowd in the Jack Curran Gym. This year marked the first for Band Director Mr. Daniel Jones, who joined Molloy's faculty as its music teacher in September. Mr. Jones' energy provided an extra spark for Molloy's band, who followed his lead in delivering a spirited performance! Songs included “Silent Night” by The Temptations, “Gonna Fly Now” by Bill Conti, “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay, and original arrangements of “Feliz Navidad and “Little Drummer Boy” by Mr. Jones! Special thanks to accompanist Mr. Farnum for joining us for our band concert as well.
Congratulations to all and thank you for two wonderful concerts! Photos by Ashley Tiwari ’25 and Lauren Mae Mesia ’25.
