WE

ARE

MARIST

Molloy teaches in the tradition of the Marist Brothers, who work to make Jesus Christ known and loved among young people. The Marist Charism is an educational philosophy shared by ministries in 79 countries worldwide. Our Campus Ministers work with students year-round to coordinate many enriching opportunities. Molloy and the Marist Brothers welcome and respect students of all faiths.

Using the lens of Marist spirituality, Campus Ministry seeks to "make Jesus known and loved," in turn helping students grow in faith and in social and emotional maturity. Campus Ministry is not a club one joins, but rather a series of invitations that inspire students to get involved and build community in many different ways.

Retreats

Students are encouraged to attend weekend retreats at the Marist Brothers’ Center in Esopus, NY. Retreats provide students with opportunities for personal and spiritual growth and to reflect on their relationships with family, friends, and God. Underclassmen enjoy a one-day full-class retreat at Molloy. Clubs and teams can book after school retreats led by our Campus Ministers.

Service

Students and faculty are called to participate in service through which they witness firsthand the importance of helping those in need. Through selfless acts of kindness we can use our talents in meaningful ways, gain perspective, and become part of something greater than ourselves. Service opportunities are offered both at Molloy, in our community, and worldwide.

Liturgies

Through daily morning prayer, Mass of the Holy Spirit, and seasonal Liturgies, frequent opportunities for group prayer allow students to center their relationship with God and continue to foster community with their classmates. Molloy's Chapel is open to students and faculty each day for personal reflection and is used multiple times a year for prayer services.

My Story

First Name

My favorite thing about Molloy was definitely its Campus Ministry program, and how we did everything from retreats to service. For retreats we went upstate to our retreat house in Esopus, and we became more reflective and thought about who we want to become in and beyond Molloy. Our service opportunities allowed us to go all around the world, from Belize to Kentucky. Traveling helped us become more well-rounded outside the academic classroom. ALYSSA BISONO • CLASS OF '25
