RELIGION

Archbishop Molloy High School's Religion Department is committed to the spiritual, academic, and moral formation of our students.

MISSION & GOALS

Rooted in our Catholic Marist identity, our mission is to make Jesus known and loved. We guide students in understanding God’s revelation through Scripture and the Church’s rich tradition, integrating both faith and reason in our approach. Our goal is to help students cultivate intellectual growth and spiritual depth as they pursue truth and knowledge.

The department fosters an inclusive and supportive environment that celebrates the diversity of our student body. Students are challenged to deepen their spirituality and live out their faith. Our curriculum offers rigorous study of Catholic Theology, Sacred Scripture, and Church teachings. In our classrooms, we promote critical thinking, reflection, and meaningful dialogue.

Inspired by our Marist identity, students are encouraged to embody the five Marist pillars: Presence, Simplicity, Love of Work, In the Way of Mary, and Family Spirit. These values come from Mary’s example of humility and obedience. They guide students in their academic, spiritual, and personal growth.

Following the example of St. Marcellin Champagnat, whose devotion and love of Mary helped keep him always moving towards Jesus, we aim to form responsible and compassionate individuals who contribute to continue towards building the Kingdom of God. Through both academic and spiritual development, students are empowered to live their faith, engage with diverse perspectives, and serve their communities. We call on our students to be servant leaders, upholding the values of our Catholic Marist mission.
