Our Mission

The Computer Science & Engineering Department at Molloy prepares students for a rapidly evolving technological landscape by fostering both technical mastery and adaptive intelligence. While we ground students in fundamental programming concepts through Python and Java, our true mission extends beyond coding—we develop resilient, creative problem-solvers who can thrive in an evolving future. Our diverse curriculum spanning AI, cybersecurity, robotics, and more serves as a laboratory for building the critical skills of continuous learning, emotional intelligence, and intellectual adaptability that will serve our students throughout their lives.

Program Highlights

Earn up to 15 college credits through AP courses and academic partnerships.

Quantum Computing course sponsored by IBM, led by MIT researchers.

Active VEX Robotics Club with interscholastic competitions.

Molloy has had four national finalists in Amazon coding competitions.

Machine Learning course sponsored by the Department of Defense, taught by Harvard researchers.

Hands-on experience with 3D printing.

Molloy is a recipient of the College Board AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award.
