ABOUT “BUZZ WORDS” | Join the Stanner Alumni Center and connect with fellow alumni, faculty, and staff as we provide this exciting opportunity for reading enthusiasts! Members of "Buzz Words" read one book per month, then meet to facilitate a group discussion. A different club member facilitates each monthly meeting. Book Club is a great way to connect with the Molloy community, including with active and retired faculty! Faculty members may also serve as facilitators for select meetings.

A book list highlighting selections for the year is sent out each fall. We read a variety of works and genres, while some months will be themed, such as highlighting Black authors during Black History Month, female authors during Women’s History Month, etc. When you register as a member, you please consider recommending a book or books to be considered for our book list.

MEETING FREQUENCY | Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month (October through June). Meetings last approximately 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Light refreshments are offered for those who join us in-person.

LOCATION | Our Book Club meets either at Molloy or over Zoom, but a virtual option is available for every meeting.

MEMBERSHIP | It's free! Participants are only required to purchase their own books.
