National Signing Day

Archbishop Molloy's Guidelines for National Signing Day

To honor and celebrate our senior and graduating student-athletes who will continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level, Archbishop Molloy High School hosts a Signing Day ceremony each school year. This event recognizes the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our student-athletes as they take the next step in their academic and athletic journeys.

Molloy's Signing Day guidelines are aligned with NCAA regulations, and the Signing Day calendar is based on the annual NCAA signing schedule and the Molloy academic calendar.

The Athletics Department will promote participating student-athletes through social media, the school website, and official school communications. Professional photographs of each signing ceremony will be taken by the school and shared with families.

Student-athletes who plan to continue their athletic careers in college are encouraged to notify the Athletics Department as soon as they make their commitment by completing the Signing Day registration form linked below.

Appearance & Table Decorations

Student-athletes, family members, and guests are encouraged to wear apparel featuring the logo, colors, or branding of the institution the student-athlete has committed to attend.

The Athletics Department will provide a signing table with a school-branded tablecloth and a step-and-repeat backdrop for photos.

Families are encouraged to bring college and sport-specific items to personalize the signing table and celebrate the student-athlete's achievement. Examples include:

  • College flags or banners
  • Team hats, sweatshirts, or other apparel
  • Stuffed mascots or school-themed items
  • Sport-specific equipment (baseball/softball gloves, basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, tennis rackets, etc.)
  • Athletic awards, trophies, medals, or plaques
  • Other memorabilia representing the student-athlete's athletic journey and future institution

These decorations help create a memorable experience and provide meaningful photo opportunities for the student-athlete, family, and guests.
