CHSAA Scholar Athletes & Teams

At the conclusion of each sports season, the Brooklyn/Queens Diocese CHSAA recognizes student-athletes, teams, and schools that demonstrate exceptional achievement in the classroom. These honors celebrate the dedication, discipline, and commitment required to excel both academically and athletically.

Scholar Athlete recognition is awarded to student-athletes who earn a GPA of 90.00% or higher during their season.

Scholar Athlete Team recognition is awarded to teams whose roster achieves an average GPA of 90.00% or higher, with at least 75% of team members included in the calculation.

School of Excellence status is awarded to schools in which 75% of varsity teams earn Scholar Athlete Team recognition during their respective season.

School of Distinction status is the CHSAA's highest academic team honor and is awarded to schools in which 100% of varsity teams qualify for Scholar Athlete Team recognition during their respective season.
