Students are trained to become Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC’s) by attending a workshop coordinated by the Diocese of Brooklyn. EMHC’s administer the Eucharist throughout the year and serve at school liturgies and their parish Masses. It is the choice of the EMHC whether they want to pursue serving at a local hospital or nursing home.
Eligibility Requirements: Juniors who are Catholic and recommended by their pastors can apply to be installed as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion in their junior or senior Year.
EDMODO: Once the student is selected, an Edmodo page will be created and a code given out.
