Last week, Molloy welcomed the Class of 2026 to their first ever retreat experience at the Marist Brothers’ Center at Esopus: Freshman Camp!
Before beginning their journey at Molloy in September, new Stanners were able to meet their fellow classmates and bond through sports, games, crafts, and more! Campers also celebrated Mass together and were introduced to the Marist charism. As stated by Mr. Sheldon, “The incoming freshmen were extremely cooperative and receptive to the ‘Stanner’ philosophy.”
The beautiful weather allowed for the students and volunteers to explore the Esopus property, a place we hope they will visit multiple times throughout their high school career. The week was made possible because of the ever growing Molloy community, with Ms. Winters saying, “The faculty, alum, and especially the kitchen crew and junior and senior counselors worked extremely hard, and were successful in welcoming the incoming freshmen and making them feel a part of our school community. This was especially evident by the amount of alumni who came up for Friday night's Super Flag.”
