Program Overview & Course Descriptions
Each participant must select a “Major” and “Minor” for the duration of their preferred session. Participants will attend the same Major and Minor classes each day of their session. Participants may choose to register for both available sessions, but we highly encourage selecting a different “Major” and “Minor” for their second week. The Summer Enrichment Program will consist of daily learning activities, group creativity/innovation/critical thinking challenges, recreation period, and lunch. Students will bring their own lunches. All participants will receive a t-shirt with their registration.

Important Things to Remember
Cell Phone Policy - Participant personal cell phone usage is highly discouraged. Participants will be permitted to keep phones with them, but they will be expected to have them away for the duration of each program session. During lunch, participants are encouraged to engage in conversation with their peers.
Dress Code - Dress comfortably with casual clothes and shoes. T-shirts, shorts, and sneakers are ideal. Revealing clothing is not permitted. Participants are encouraged to bring a sweatshirt each day as they will be in air conditioned rooms.
Drop-off and Pick-Up Times / Transportation - Participants may be dropped off starting at 8:00am. Pick is at 2:30pm. Students must identify their caregiver picking them up, and each caregiver must be on file and provide a valid picture ID if requested. We are not able to provide transportation, but we are conveniently located one block from the Briarwood MTA subway station (F train) and close to the Kew Gardens interchange.
Locations - We utilize our classrooms, labs, theater, library, cafeteria, and other specialized spaces for each activity. Each area is air conditioned and should provide a comfortable setting to learn, have fun, and interact. Participants, on occasion, may move outside for activities and experiments.
Lunch - Participants should bring pre-packed lunch in an insolated lunchbox that is labeled with their name. They will keep this with them during the morning and then bring it to lunch. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase during lunch.
Major or Minor Cancelation - We anticipate being able to run all activities, but do reserve the ability to cancel a particular Major or Minor if there is insufficient registration. We will inform parents of potential cancellations by June 15th and work to place participants in alternate activities in order of preference.
Medical Form - After registering, you will receive an email with a medical form attached. Participants should complete and email the form to Ms. Sue Cassillo at scassillo@molloyhs.org by no later than June 15th.
Refunds - Our policy is as follows:
- If the student withdraws prior to June 2nd at $150 processing fee will be withheld and the remainder of the registration payment will be refunded.
- If the student withdraws between June 2nd and June 15th, half of the registration fee will be refunded.
- We are not able to refund any registration fees after June 15th.
Registration Closure - In order to keep each Major and Minor class size small, registration closes when each reaches capacity. Registering early is encouraged to secure your spot in your desired subject.
Technology - After registering, participants will receive an email detailing what items/equipment will be necessary to bring.
