Stanner E-News

Greetings from Molloy – Week Twenty-Five – Director’s Blog Changes Name to Stanner E-News

You will notice a new look and feel when you log on the Stanner Alumni Web-site. We have changed the name of the Director’s Blog to the Stanner E-News. We will issue it weekly with all the current events at the school along with updated alumni information and class notes and visits. We hope you enjoy the new look. Tom Harrison has worked hard to make these changes happen in order to make our publications program more consistent.

Arts – Spring Musical Rehearsals in Full Swing

Rehearsals for the Spring Musical are under way. I met a few cast members in the hall and asked if they were ready to let an outsider peek in on rehearsals… I received a resounding –“NOT YET!”. If it matters, I peeked in anyway and it sounded pretty good! They will let me know when they are ready for an official sneak peek and I will pass along the reviews as we get closer. The date for the musical is set for April 10th – 13th. Come out for an evening of entertainment and make it a mini-reunion with old friends.

The honorees are Brother Roy George, Brother James Maher, Mr. John Diorio, Ms. Mary Pat Gannon, and Mr. John Gibbons (posthumously). Their selfless dedication to all aspects of a true Stanner education qualifies them for this honor.

Please consider coming to the school on Saturday, April 5th to honor these teachers and to visit with many of the other faculty members present. There will be a Mass and Presentation of the Awards at 6:00 PM followed by a Procession and Blessing of the new Hall of Fame Wall exhibit at 7:30PM. Cocktails, Dinner and additional presentations will follow in the Curran Gymnasium. Register on-line for an evening to remember.
