Mr. Jeffrey Gallagher

Mr. Jeff Gallagher came from a family tradition of secondary education through the Jesuits at Brooklyn Prep on Carroll Street until the Crown Heights high school closed its doors. It was an Open House Tour lead by Chris Krolick '84 that brought Jeff into the Marist traditions of Archbishop Molloy by bus and subway each day. Following an invitation to join the track team by Bro. Robert Andrews as a result of freshmen field day, Jeff went on to four years of running at Van Cortland Park and at the Armory in Manhattan. In addition he helped Bro. Ron Marcellin as a member of S.A.C. and eventually become a Senior Peer Group Leader with Bro. Stephen Urban.

After graduating from Molloy, Jeff went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Queens College - earning membership in Phi Alpha Theta and the Golden Key National Honor Society. Upon finishing his student teaching at New Hyde Park High School, he joined the faculty at Molloy. Jeff has enjoyed being a member of the Social Studies Department and track coaching staff for the past 17 years. Currently he is participating in various historical research programs in addition to taking graduate classes. He can be reached at jgallagher@molloyhs.org
