Objectives for Middle States- Excellence by Design

 

Organizational Performance Objectives:

Objective One:

By the year 2021, Archbishop Molloy High School will improve the quality and amount of its website utilization with its stakeholders as measured by:

A) Increasing the number of new visitors to the school’s website by 15%
Baseline: In 2011 - 2012, Archbishop Molloy’s website received 92,000 visitors.

B) Increasing the number of total visits to the website by 15%
Baseline: In 2011 - 2012, Archbishop Molloy High School received 289,000 total hits to its website.

C) Increase the number of pages viewed per visit by 10%
Baseline: In 2011 - 2012, the average number of pages viewed per visit was 2.6 pages.

D) Increase teacher contribution into the website by 5%
Baseline: Currently there is no teacher contribution on the website.

 

Objective Two:

By 2021 Archbishop Molloy High School will reduce its impact on the environment as measured by:

Energy/Carbon Footprint Reduction

A) Reducing electric consumption by 10%
Baseline: In the school year 2011 – 2012, Archbishop Molloy used 975,200 kWh.   Molloy uses an average of 2650 kWh per day.

B) Reduce its water consumption by 5%
Baseline: Currently gathering data for baseline figures.

C) Reduce its gas consumption by 15%
Baseline: In the school year 2011 – 2012, Archbishop Molloy used 10,822 Therms per month for a total of 129,873 Therms per year.

D)  Decrease its consumption of paper by 15%
Baseline: Currently gathering data for baseline.

E) Increase its purchases of environmentally friendly products by 50%

By the year 2021 Archbishop Molloy High School will reduce its impact on the environment as demonstrated by:

Recyclable Waste

A) Archbishop Molloy will be in full compliance with all applicable New York City recycling regulations.

 

Student Performance Objectives:

Objective One:

By the year 2021 students of Archbishop Molloy High School will have an increased knowledge of career preparation skills as measured by:

Naviance Career Tools:

A) Over a four year period, 90% of students at Archbishop Molloy High School will complete the Naviance Personality Assessment based on the Myers-Briggs Type indicator.

B) Over a four year period, 50% of students at Archbishop Molloy High School will utilize Naviance to explore Careers and Career Clusters to help students select appropriate course work and aid in the evaluation of colleges.

C) Students at Archbishop Molloy High School can construct resumes through the utilization of Naviance Resume Builder.

Baseline:

In the school year of 2012 – 2013, 83% of our freshman and sophomores took the Personality Assessment.  Eleven percent took the Career Inventory Quiz, and 3% participated in Career Clusters.  None of our freshman and sophomores used Resume Builder.

In the school year of 2012 – 2013, 69% of our junior and seniors took the Personality Assessment.  Nine percent took the Career Inventory Quiz, and 10% participated in Career Clusters. 

 

Objective Two:

By the school year 2021, in an effort to raise standards for academic excellence:

A) Students at Archbishop Molloy High School will need a grade of a 93 or better to achieve Honor Roll status.

Baseline:  In the school year 2012 – 2013 68% of our freshman, 65% of our sophomores, 56% of our juniors and 64% of our seniors are on the Honor Roll.

B) Incoming freshman will need an 85% on the Algebra, Living Environment, and/or Earth Science Regents to have it accepted by Molloy to exempt these exams.

C) Archbishop Molloy will raise the requirement for National Honor Society from a 94 average to a 95 average.
